Our Instructors

Gavin Franzen

A Louisiana native, part-time competitor and contractor ,and full-time gun counter manager. Gavin has always been interested in firearms from a young age, (to the point of obsession). He served his country in the United States Marine Corps as an 0311 Rifleman. From very early on in his career, he began teaching others and fell in love with the practice. Once, he had received his instructor training he hasn’t stopped since , and continues to strive in helping others build confidence in themselves and their abilities. He is always on the pursuit to further his knowledge and understanding so he may pass it on to others.

With a passion for teaching others that they have the ability to defend themselves, He focuses heavily on brining the values of a Rifleman to the prepared citizen. He likes to train pistol, and rifles extensively and is obsessed with the gear that comes with it. Along with working in the Gun industry and seeing products first hand, he hope to steer preparing citizens in the right direction not only with training but equipment as well.

Ian Elliott

Born and raised in Georgia, Ian enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 2015 as an infantryman. Serving in 1st Battalion, 2nd Marine Division for two deployment cycles over four years, he has had his fair share of time behind a rifle. He now hopes he can share the skill and knowledge he accumulated with the shooters, prepared citizens, and gun enthusiasts of his community.

Ian believes the two most relevant forms of self defense in today’s world are carrying a concealed pistol in public, and employing a rifle for defense of one’s homestead. For this reason, he focuses his training on practical drills that are based on real life cases of self defense.
